Job summary

Maersk is seeking a claims professional in the United States to review, investigate, and resolve transportation claims across loss, damage, or delay scenarios. You will respond to inquiries, gather documentation, and coordinate inspections while supporting continuous improvement in claim handling quality.

The role requires a minimum of 3+ years in claims-related fields, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to mentor colleagues.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in claims, transportation, logistics, insurance, customer service, or a related field.
• Proven ability to independently manage claims and resolve complex issues.
• Strong knowledge of claims handling principles, investigations, customer communication, and dispute resolution.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or informally leading colleagues preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, investigate, and resolve transportation claims for loss, damage, shortage, delay, or related concerns.
• Respond to inquiries from customers, internal stakeholders, carriers, stations, insurers, and other parties.
• Gather and evaluate claim documentation and supporting material.
• Coordinate inspections, salvage review, mitigation, and subrogation when appropriate.
• Support claim file quality through review of documentation, reserves, denials, and system updates.
• Run and distribute reports to identify aged claims, productivity trends, or compliance concerns.
