Job summary

Reserv is seeking a Claims Team Lead for Rental Vehicle Claims to guide a pod of adjusters, review complex files, and drive quality and timely outcomes while managing a reduced caseload.

You'll mentor team members, monitor dashboards, and escalate issues to leadership. A U.S. resident with an active adjuster license and a track record in leadership is required for a fully remote role, with nationwide coverage and a strong focus on process improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of claims leadership experience with a track record of strong file quality.
• At least 1 year of informal leadership, mentoring or lead experience preferred.
• Strong coaching, communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Sound judgment on reserves, settlement authority and escalation.
• Comfort with claims reporting and dashboards.
• Active adjuster license: resident-state license where available, otherwise a Designated Home State (DHS) license. Willing to obtain any additional required licenses within 60 days, including state testing.

Responsibilities

• Guide a pod of adjusters through daily questions, escalations and complex or high-severity files.
• Review files and reserves, give timely feedback and confirm handling follows client instructions and regulations.
• Approve settlements and reserve changes within delegated authority; route larger items to the Manager.
• Onboard and train new adjusters; run regular 1-on-1s and file reviews and flag development needs.
• Balance and reassign workload so inventory, diary and cycle-time targets are met.
• Monitor daily and weekly reports; identify stale or aging claims and drive them to action.
• Serve as the first point of contact for carrier, client, counsel and vendor escalations.
• Contribute to weekly business reviews with clear status, risks and trends.
• Handle a reduced caseload of the most complex claims.
• Raise recurring issues, process gaps and performance concerns to the Manager early.

Location Requirement

Candidates must reside in an eligible U.S. state throughout employment. We are unable to hire candidates residing in California, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or outside the United States.

About the role

• The Team Lead is the first line of leadership for a pod of APD, BI or Litigation adjusters. You coach and unblock adjusters day to day, review complex files, and keep the pod hitting quality, timeliness and service goals, while carrying a reduced caseload of your own.
