Job summary

Reserv is seeking a dedicated Team Lead to manage the full spectrum of Restaurant & Hospitality claims. You will coach a three-tier team, stay hands-on in escalation decisions, and ensure smooth handoffs across tiers. The role emphasizes analytics-driven oversight, process improvement, and client-facing reporting.

You will guide claim strategy, monitor tier targets, and drive operational efficiency in a remote-first environment while supporting ongoing hires and inventory transfers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of insurance claims experience in commercial general liability claims across multiple severities.
• Active adjuster license required: resident state license if available or a DHS license.
• 2+ years of leadership experience, preferably in a remote environment.
• Comfortable evolving claims systems and processes to support a segmented, multi-tier team.
• Increased reserve and payment authority, with ability to assist in moderate-tier review.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the dedicated team across Fast Track, Moderate, and Severity/MCU adjusters.
• Own escalation triggers within the client—dollar thresholds, litigation status, catastrophic injury criteria.
• Monitor per-tier caseload targets (~87–88 claims per adjuster) and manage hybrid/overflow assignments between tiers.
• Coordinate onboarding and go-live timing for new hires, including phased transfer of inventory.
• Serve as backup for the Manager and as SME for first-line escalations and roundtable discussions.
• Prepare and present specific claims reports and metrics to the Manager and clients.
• Step in on claims handling directly, including reviewing moderate and severity file strategy.

About The Role

As the Dedicated Team Lead, — the single dedicated team that handles the full spectrum of Restaurant & Hospitality's claims, segmented internally by Fast Track, Moderate, and Severity/MCU. Unlike a single-tier team, your adjusters each specialize in one segment, which means you need to be conversant across all three to coach effectively, cover gaps, and keep the handoffs between tiers clean.

You stay hands‑on. When a claim needs to step up a tier, when a new hire needs backup, or when volume shifts unexpectedly, you're in the file — not just reviewing it after the fact.

Who You Are

• A claims professional with a track record in high-exposure commercial general liability claims across a range of industries and loss types
• A strong leader with litigation management experience who can review defense strategy and reserve positioning
• Tech-oriented and excited about using analytics to separate genuine hygiene issues from real disposition gaps
• Curious — you want the whole story on a legacy claim before deciding whether it needs a new strategy or just a decision
• Anti-status quo — when inventory drifts, you act on it rather than accepting it as the norm
• Comfortable with phone communications and understand their role throughout the claims process

What You'll Do

• Own consistency of escalation triggers within the client— dollar thresholds, litigation status, and catastrophic injury criteria — so claims move to the right tier at the right time
• Monitor per-tier caseload targets (~87–88 claims per adjuster) and manage hybrid/overflow assignments between tiers
• Coordinate onboarding and go-live timing for new hires, including phased transfer of pending inventory
• Serve as backup for the Manager and as SME for first‑line escalations and roundtable discussions
• Prepare and present - specific claims reports and metrics to the Manager and clients
• Step in on claims handling directly, including reviewing moderate and severity file strategy

Qualifications

• Active adjuster license required: resident state license if available, otherwise a Designated Home State (DHS) license
• 2+ years of leadership experience, with a preference for experience managing in a remote environment
• Comfortable evolving claims systems and processes to support a segmented, multi‑tier team
• Increased reserve and payment authority, with the ability to assist with moderate‑tier review
