Job summary

Gallagher Bassett in California is seeking an experienced senior claims leader to guide a Workers' Compensation team and deliver high-quality, efficient service in a fully remote role. You will oversee hiring and training, promote best practices, and partner with clients, carriers, and brokers to drive outcomes.

A valid claims license and extensive state experience are required, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Minimum of 10 years related claims experience.
• Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states in which claims are being handled.
• Knowledge of all team member related functions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a Workers' Compensation claims team to deliver high-quality service.
• Promote Best Practices and ensure claims are handled according to GB's Best Practices.
• Drive talent: hire and train adjusters, fostering performance and improvement.
• Manage workloads and motivate performance to maximize efficiency.
• Utilize Gallagher technology to enhance team efficiency and quality.
• Communicate with clients, carriers, and brokers professionally and proactively.
• Develop team members by identifying coaching opportunities.

Overview

• Claims Background: Candidates should have an extensive background in workers compensation claims adjusting.
• Prior leadership experience: Minimum of 2 years prior leadership/people management experience in a claims environment required
• Jurisdictional experience: California Workers Compensation
• Licenses: CA Designation required. SIP optional.
• Location: This role is eligible for fully remote work.

• Supervise: Lead and encourage a Workers Compensation claims team handling a variety of caseload sizes and complexities to deliver high-quality and efficient service.
• Promote Best Practices: Guide claims team to handle claims in accordance with GB’s Best Practices.
• Drive Talent: Take charge of adjuster hiring and training, encouraging a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
• Manage Workloads: Define team goals, motivate performance, and effectively manage workloads to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Utilize Technology: Harness the power of Gallagher's technology to enhance your team's efficiency and overall quality of service.
• Client Communication: Communicate with clients, carriers, and brokers in a professional, positive, and proactive manner.
• Prioritize and Develop: Effectively manage multiple competing priorities, identify coaching opportunities, and position team members for successful development.

About You
