Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a seasoned Workers’ Compensation Claims Manager to lead a dynamic claims team. This role emphasizes high-quality service, efficient workflows, and strong client partnerships in a remote setting.

You will recruit and coach adjusters, align practices with GB’s Best Practices, and drive continuous improvement while leveraging Gallagher technology.

California jurisdiction experience and an eight-plus year claims background are required, with a bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years related claims experience.
• Licensed and/or certified in all states where claims are handled.
• Knowledge of all team member related functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and encourage a Workers' Compensation claims team handling a variety of caseload sizes and complexities to deliver high-quality and efficient service.
• Guide claims team to handle claims in accordance with GB’s Best Practices.
• Take charge of adjuster hiring and training, encouraging a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
• Define team goals, motivate performance, and effectively manage workloads to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Harness Gallagher's technology to enhance your team's efficiency and overall quality of service.
• Communicate with clients, carriers, and brokers in a professional, positive, and proactive manner.
• Effectively manage multiple competing priorities, identify coaching opportunities, and position team members for development.

About You

Ideal candidates for this position will have:

• Claims Background: Workers Compensation
• Prior leadership experience: 2 years
• Jurisdictional Experience: California

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 8 years related claims experience
• Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states in which claims are being handled
• Knowledge of all team member related functions
