Job summary

S WE San Diego is seeking a Claims Specialist in the Risk & Claims Department to manage complex liability, subrogation and workers’ compensation claims. You will update files, enter data into SAP, generate reports, and support purchasing and invoicing processes.

The role requires strong organizational skills, accurate reporting, and the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders. A California driver license and experience in claims administration are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in risk management or related field with at least 3 years' claims administration experience.
• Experience with liability, subrogation and workers’ compensation claims.
• Ability to use SAP ERP and MS Word/Excel; data entry and reporting.
• Valid California Driver License; ability to travel as needed.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Adjust property damage claims from start to finish.
• Assign case numbers and establish claims files.
• Maintain comprehensive, well-documented claim files and databases.
• Create reports and spreadsheets for management and underwriters.
• Process purchase requisitions and invoices for Risk & Claims.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations for internal/external audiences.
• Schedule meetings and coordinate with internal/external parties.
• Back up contact for Liability Claims Supervisor and small claims court actions.
