Job summary

BlueWave Express Car Wash is seeking a Claims Specialist to manage vehicle-damage and guest-claim investigations from intake to resolution. You will review evidence, coordinate with stores, insurers, and repair facilities, and ensure accurate documentation throughout the process.

The role requires strong investigative skills, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to maintain a customer-focused experience while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Claims Representative to join our team and support the investigation, resolution, and administration of guest claims.

Position Summary

The Claims Specialist is responsible for managing vehicle damage and customer incident claims from initial intake through final resolution. This role requires strong investigative skills, excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to make fact-based decisions while maintaining a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process customer claims related to vehicle damage and wash incidents.
• Conduct investigations by reviewing incident reports, photographs, video footage, repair estimates, and supporting documentation.
• Communicate professionally with store leadership, guests, repair facilities, insurance carriers, attorneys, and internal stakeholders.
• Document claim activity and maintain accurate records within company systems.
• Coordinate inspections, estimate reviews, repair approvals, and payment processing.
• Create and send claim determination letters, settlement communications, and denial notices when appropriate. This includes email, text, and live phone calls.
• Track claim status and ensure timely follow-up with all parties involved.
• Identify trends and recurring issues and provide recommendations to reduce exposure to future claims.
• Collaborate with site managers and operations teams to gather facts and support investigations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of claims handling, customer service, insurance, risk management, or related experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to review and analyze evidence objectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Experience working with claim management, CRM, or incident reporting systems is a plus.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally while maintaining a customer-service mindset.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in successfully managing verbal communication with guests.
• Knowledge of vehicle damage assessment and repair estimating.
• Experience reviewing surveillance or operational footage.
• Understanding of liability investigations and claim resolution processes.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple claims simultaneously.
