Job summary

Unified Life Insurance Company seeks an experienced Claims Analyst to support Annuity In-Force processing and beneficiary communications. You will set up initial claim notifications, review data for regulatory and policy standards, and collaborate with agents, clients, and attorneys to resolve inquiries.

• 3+ years of operational/claims or processing experience preferred.

• Strong problem-solving skills and experience in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong working knowledge of the annuity market, focusing on fixed, fixed indexed, and variable annuities.

Responsibilities

• Set up the initial claim notification and manage related data entry.
• Learn, retain, and update knowledge of financial products and internal processes per regulations.
• Assist with processing other Annuity In-Force transactions as needed.
• Provide information on contract values, status updates, withdrawals, fund performance, and settlements for Annuity In-Force.
• Support Agents/Advisors and Clients with Annuity In-Force requests via phone and email.
• Communicate requirements, settlement options, and claim status with beneficiaries, agents, attorneys, and clients.
• Process and approve claim payments, generate settlement letters, and track settlements.
• Review data for annuity claim forms and death certificates in the system.
• Ensure information is complete and compliant with regulatory, product, and policy standards before processing.
• Assist in special projects as needed.

How You’ll Contribute

• Setting up the initial claim notification
• Learning, retaining, and updating one’s knowledge of a wide variety of financial product information and internal processes and procedures, while adhering to strict financial industry rules and regulations.
• Assist with processing other types of Annuity In-Force transactions as needed
• Provide information regarding contract values, request status updates, withdrawals, fund performance, outstanding requirements, and any other transaction related to Annuity In-Force
• Support both Agents/Advisors and Clients with all Annuity In-Force requests via phone and email
• Communicating requirements, settlement options, and claim status with beneficiaries, agents, attorneys, and clients
• Processing and approving claim payments, generating settlement confirmation letters, and tracking all claim settlements
• Review and input data into the system for annuity claim forms and death certificates
• Review and verify all required information is complete and ensure the request meets regulatory, product, and policy standards before processing.
• Assist in special projects as needed.
