Job summary

Builders Insurance Group seeks a Claims Service Representative to engage with insured individuals, agents, and colleagues to execute core claims processing tasks with exceptional customer service.

You will input injury reports, initiate calls, and confirm coverage details while managing multiple claim types and supporting vendors and defense attorneys. This role resides in Atlanta with strong teamwork and a commitment to accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 1+ year of customer service in workers’ compensation claims.
• Proficient in verbal and written communication with confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with external stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously with transparent communication.
• Strong time management and detail orientation, able to multi-task.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and claims software.

Responsibilities

• Input all initial reports of injury and loss claims via mail, fax, phone, and email.
• Initiate and receive inbound/outbound calls to resolve customer concerns.
• Deliver exceptional service by confirming coverage and answering inquiries; handle lost time and medical only claims.
• Request first reports of injury for unmatched mail and complete state forms.
• Facilitate transmission of claim documents to defense attorneys and vendors.
• Dispatch initial claim correspondence.
• Record document details in the Claim Management System.
• Coordinate retrieval of medical notes and bills from providers.
• Process bill payments, organize mail, update client information, print checks, and manage supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Claims Service Representative engages with insured individuals, agents, and internal colleagues to execute fundamental claims processing responsibilities, while delivering basic information with a superior standard of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Input all initial reports of injury and loss claims received via mail, fax, phone, and email.
• Initiate and receive inbound and outbound calls to effectively resolve customer concerns.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to agents and insured individuals by confirming coverage details and addressing general claims inquiries.Originate initial contact regarding all lost time and medical only claims.
• Request first reports of injury for unmatched mail and accurately complete state forms.
• Facilitate the preparation and transmission of claim documents to defense attorneys and other vendors.
• Dispatch initial claim correspondence.
• Record document details in Claim Management System.
• Coordinate the retrieval of medical notes and bills from providers.
• Process bill payments, organize incoming mail, update client information, process check printing, and manage supply orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and one or more years of customer service experience in a workers’ compensation claims environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficient in both verbal and written communication with the ability and commitment to maintain confidentiality
• Skill in interpersonal interactions, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels and with external stakeholders; skill in customer service and problem-solving
• Capacity to work autonomously while ensuring transparent communication with internal leadership
• Skill in time and organizational management; ability to multi-task effectively while paying attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and function specific software applications
