Job summary

USA Waste & Recycling seeks a Claims Manager to lead the insurance function across our diverse operations in the United States. You will oversee auto, GL, WC, and property claims, coordinate with Legal, Operations, HR, and Safety, and drive risk reduction across trucking, facilities, entertainment venues, and agribusiness units.

Ideal candidates bring 5-7 years of P&C insurance experience, strong analytics, and excellent communication. Travel to sites will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of progressive P&C insurance experience.
• Experience with multi-entity risk management is a plus.
• Comfort working in blue-collar, field environments.
• Ability to translate data into practical risk recommendations.
• Strong interpersonal skills across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee auto, general liability, workers’ compensation, and property claims.
• Coordinate with Legal, Operations, HR, Safety on investigations.
• Manage reserves, litigation strategy, and settlements.
• Monitor loss trends, cost of risk, and insurer relationships.
• Assist with renewals, risk financing, and program administration.
• Support fleet safety and loss control initiatives.
