Position Summary
Reviews, investigates, processes and settles bodily injury, property damage and subrogation claims filed against and on behalf of the Authority.

Description

• Reviews assigned bodily injury and property damage claims to extract information and conduct investigations, including interviewing witnesses, reviewing records, inspecting accident scenes, and visiting relevant locations.
• Analyzes and evaluates the veracity of statements and evidence related to claims.
• Determines the liability exposure of the Authority and its employees.
• Reviews medical records to assess the extent of injuries and subrogation amounts.
• Assists attorneys with unsettled suits and prepares detailed reports for claims settlement.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience in investigating and evaluating bodily injury and property damage claims.
• Proficiency in conducting interviews and collecting data.
• College degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in negotiating settlements and conducting confidential investigations.
• Knowledge of medical record interpretation.
• On-call availability 24/7.

Physical Requirements & Skills

• Knowledge of evidence required for settlement of claims.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.
• Understanding of major vehicle components.
• Clear and logical communication skills.
• Amiable interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions

• Office environment with fieldwork exposure to weather conditions.
• On-call 24/7.
