Job summary

Great Expressions Dental Centers seeks a claims processing specialist to manage the day-to-day processing of dental insurance claims at our Southfield, MI corporate office. You will ensure timely payments, maintain accuracy, and meet departmental deadlines in a high-volume environment.

The role requires onsite presence on Mondays with remote days Tuesday-Friday, with additional on-site needs as dictated by business. Strong data-entry, communication, and confidentiality are essential to success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in medical billing systems a plus.
• Understanding of Medicare/Medicaid laws and health insurance a plus.
• High level of professionalism and adaptability.
• 10-Key & Alpha Numeric Data Entry with speed and accuracy.
• Effective verbal and written communications, including active listening.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows file management, databases and patient billing systems.
• Team player with attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a high volume environment.
• Must maintain confidentiality and consistent attendance.

What You’ll Do…

This position will be responsible for handling the day to day functions related to the successful processing of dental insurance claims. This position is responsible for processing payments to accounts according to company policies. The role will complete all phases of Claims Processing training and will be required to meet set deadlines and departmental standards of accuracy.

This position is located at our corporate office in Southfield, MI and requires an onsite presence on Mondays with remote days Tuesday-Friday. Additional onsite presence may be required based on business needs.

What We Require You Have…

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in medical billing systems a plus
• Understanding of Medicare / Medicaid laws, managed care, and commercial health insurance a plus
• Must possess high degree of professionalism and adaptability
• 10-Key & Alpha Numeric Data Entry with speed and accuracy
• Effective verbal and written communications, including active listening skills and skill in presenting findings and recommendations
• Proficient in the use of end-user computer applications regarding productivity (MS Word, Excel, Outlook), Windows file management, database, electronic health/medical records and patient billing and other medical information systems
• Team Player
• High level of detail orientation and organizational skills
• Basic math and analytical abilitiesAbility to work independently and professionally in a high volume environment
