Job summary

Selective Insurance Company is seeking a seasoned Claims Architect to lead architecture for Claims platforms, integrations, and modernization initiatives. You will define roadmaps built on .NET, Pega, Oracle, SQL, and Azure, guiding secure, scalable solutions across the claims lifecycle.

You will drive cloud-native design, API-first integration, and AI-enabled capabilities while upholding enterprise standards and governance across multiple delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Proven architecture leadership across enterprise platforms and multi-delivery groups.
• Experience with cloud-native design, microservices, and API-first approaches.

Responsibilities

• Create system blueprints and multi-year roadmaps for Claims platforms and integrations.
• Lead cloud-native modernization using Azure services, microservices, and containers.
• Define integration patterns (REST/GraphQL, event-driven) across platforms.
• Set engineering governance, coding standards, CI/CD, and IaC practices.
• Define non-functional requirements for performance, scalability, and security.
• Evaluate Azure AI Services and AI-enabled capabilities for claims ecosystem.
• Assess technical debt and communicate modernization plans to stakeholders.
• Partner with business and delivery teams to align solutions with enterprise standards.
