Job summary

Starr, a global leader in commercial insurance, seeks an experienced professional to handle ocean marine claims in New York. The role requires expertise in brown water, hull, P&I, and marine liability, with knowledge of CMLs and Bumbershoot policies.

This individual will be responsible for handling multi-line claims including brown water, hull, personal injury, collision, Protection and Indemnity, and commercial marine liability claims.

Knowledge of CMLs and Bumbershoot policies is essential.

Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills and have the ability to assimilate learning materials on many different subjects.

Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5-7 years of experience managing ocean marine claims
• Superior negotiation and litigation management skills
• Must be organized, detail oriented and pro-active
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
• Travel may be required and will vary depending on business needs and caseload

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Starr Insurance Companies is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets: experience and training: licensure and certifications: and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $150-000 - $165,000
