Job summary

Beazley is seeking an Assistant Claims Manager in the Group Claims division to independently manage low to mid-value claims, ensuring high client and broker satisfaction through quality claims handling and service.

You will contribute to the overall performance and development of Beazley’s claims function, collaborating with underwriters, insureds, brokers, and service providers to deliver effective resolutions and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Graduate calibre required.
• Past claims experience establishing liability and/or settlement resolutions.
• Functional knowledge of claims management, insurance market, and regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage individual claims from notification to closure with appropriate involvement.
• Focus on claims valued at or below $250,000; avoid significant coverage issues.
• Maintain Beazley’s claims reserving philosophy and standards.
• Develop and execute claims strategies with line management input.
• Collaborate with underwriters, brokers and insureds to manage claims.
• Adhere to approved claims authorities and Beazley’s policies.
• Support senior claims handlers and mentor junior staff.
• Engage third-party professionals following Beazley procedures.
• Maintain strong broker and client relationships and uphold Beazley brand.
• Contribute to process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
