Job summary

EMC Insurance offers a summer paid internship in one of its branch claims departments. You will assist the claims team in the investigation, negotiation and disposition of minor multi-line claims, while learning EMC culture, business processes and products.

You will gain an understanding of the insurance claims process and develop industry knowledge, transferable skills, and networking opportunities with executives and mentors within EMC.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, liberal arts, communications, healthcare, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, or another related field.
• Completion of junior year preferred
• Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
• Interest in property casualty insurance career
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical ability
• Strong organizational skills
• Sound decision-making and problem-solving
• Attention to detail
• Good personal computer knowledge

Education & Experience
