Job summary

IMA Financial Group, Inc. is seeking a seasoned claims professional to lead executive risk and property coverage matters in a client-focused environment. You will guide complex claims, mentor staff, and collaborate with carriers and TPAs.

The role emphasizes client advisory, negotiation with carriers, and expanding relationships across regional and national levels. Moderate travel is required, with opportunities for professional development and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of claims experience in Executive Risk and/or Property coverage.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient with Applied Epic, carrier and TPA platforms.
  • MS Office experience, especially PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of coverage and claims handling.

Job description

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to:

  • Supports and demonstrates IMA’s core values

  • Interacts professionally and timely with clients via email, phone, and in-person
  • Maintains a proactive approach focusing on claim strategies and resolutions
  • Advocates for the timely, optimal resolution of claim matters for our clients
  • Communicates pertinent claim information timely to internal and external clients
  • Maintains strong relationships with internal and external clients
  • Subject matter or specific coverage line knowledge and expertise in Executive Risk (D&O, EPLI, Crime, Cyber) and/or Property lines of coverage.
  • Participates in presentations, including new business, RFPs (clients, TPAs), claim reviews, renewals, etc.
  • Develops strong working knowledge of IMA computer systems/programs
  • Assists Claim Manager with claim staff onboarding, training and development
  • Develops and expands relationships at local, regional and national levels with carriers, TPAs, legal resources, consultants, etc.
  • Leads and contributes to Claim Projects, and other tasks as assigned
  • Attends insurance related seminars including but not limited to continuing education classes

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: include but are not limited to:

  • 10 + years of prior Claims experience in Executive Risk and/or Property coverage required
  • Bachelor’s degree or work experience equivalent to a college degree
  • System skills or aptitude – Applied Epic, Carrier and TPA platforms preferred
  • Experience with MS Office products preferred/required (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Exceptional technical skill and knowledge of coverage and claims handling
  • Moderate travel required (25-50%)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong mathematical and reasoning skills required
  • Ability to discuss and solve claim problems with clients and insurance carriers.

Salary Range: $110,000 USD - $150,000 USD
