Senior Claims Examiner

We are looking for a SeniorClaimsExaminer to join our organization and contribute to our team.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert claim handling in areas of coverage, investigation, evaluation, and resolution of complex third‑party bodily injury and property damage claims.
• Comply with best practices in claims handling by timely investigating and evaluating liability and damages.
• Analyze policies and review relevant contracts to explore risk transfer strategies and priority of coverage.
• Draft appropriate coverage position letters.
• Set timely indemnity reserves after conducting thorough investigation and evaluation on liability and damages.
• Proactively negotiate claims towards resolution.
• Manage expense reserves and engage in resolution strategies to obtain cost effective results.
• Provide excellent customer service to insureds and brokers and timely advise underwriting of various losses.
• Perform other tasks and duties within the claims department as dictated by business needs.

Qualifications

• Solid planning & organizational skills including time‑management and prioritization.
• 2+ years of claims handling experience, primarily handling general liability claims.
• Willingness to obtain adjuster’s license in all states requiring licensure.
• Willingness to occasionally travel.

**This is not a fully remote position. Applicants must sit in our Morristown, NJ office on our hybrid work schedule.**

Salary

$60,000–$97,000 plus discretionary incentive bonus. Compensation will depend on individual education, experience, and qualifications.
