Coaction is hiring a Senior Claims Examiner to join our Morristown, NJ office on a hybrid schedule. The role focuses on handling complex third-party bodily injury and property damage claims with emphasis on investigation, evaluation, and resolution.

Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of general liability claims experience, willingness to obtain necessary adjuster licenses in required states, and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of claims handling experience primarily handling general liability claims.
• Must be willing to obtain adjuster’s license in all states requiring licensure.
• Must be willing to occasionally travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert claim handling in coverage, investigation, evaluation, and resolution of complex third-party bodily injury and property damage claims.
• Investigate liability and damages and set reserves.
• Draft coverage position letters and communicate with insureds and brokers.
• Coordinate with underwriting on losses and risk transfer strategies.
• Engage in negotiations to achieve cost-effective resolutions.
• Manage expenses reserves and support resolution strategies.
• Contribute to the claims department as needed.
