As a Senior Claim Examiner at Coaction, you will join a dynamic, fast‑paced claims organization focused on managing complex Professional Liability matters. This role is integral to delivering exceptional claims service across Fidelity Bond and Miscellaneous Professional lines, including Errors & Omissions (E&O), Employment Practices Liability (EPL), and Directors & Officers (D&O) claims on both a primary and excess basis.

Leveraging deep technical expertise and a strategic mindset, you will oversee the full claims lifecycle—ensuring high‑quality investigations, timely resolution, and alignment with corporate objectives, regulatory requirements, and Coaction’s claim handling guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
Claims Oversight & Strategy
  • Manage end‑to‑end handling of complex Professional Liability claims, including investigation, coverage analysis, reserving, litigation management, and resolution.
  • Evaluate and assign new claims based on complexity, jurisdiction, and expertise.
  • Maintain a proactive diary system to track key milestones and ensure adherence to service standards.
  • Ensure timely, strategic decision‑making aligned with business and client goals.
Technical Expertise
  • Provide hands‑on claims management for Fidelity Bond, D&O, E&O, and EPL matters.
  • Direct litigation strategy in collaboration with defense counsel, including attendance at mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
  • Analyze coverage issues, liability exposures, and damages with precision and sound judgment.
Client & Broker Engagement
  • Serve as a primary claims liaison for key accounts and specialty programs in partnership with Professional Liability leadership.
  • Lead and participate in claim review meetings; analyze trends and present insights to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, insureds, and risk managers to deliver high‑quality, tailored service.
Internal Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Underwriting, Risk Management, and Customer Service teams to ensure alignment with broader business objectives.
  • Provide insights on claims trends, emerging risks, and loss drivers to inform underwriting strategy and product development.
  • Contribute to cross‑functional initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.
Process Optimization & Compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement in claims handling processes, workflows, and best practices.
  • Ensure full compliance with Coaction Claim Handling Guidelines and Protocols, as well as all applicable regulatory requirements and NAIC guidance.
  • Maintain strong documentation and audit readiness standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or professional designations (e.g., CPCU, AIC, JD) preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience handling complex Professional Liability claims.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Fidelity Bond, E&O, EPL, and D&O claims (primary and excess experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of policy language interpretation, coverage analysis, and litigation management.
  • Proven ability to manage large, complex claims with significant financial exposure.
  • Experience working with defense counsel, experts, and third‑party administrators.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.

Salary range specific to this role: $103,000-$168,000 + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
