Job summary

Amerisure is seeking a Claims Adjuster Associate to support the claims department in the lifecycle of claims, with a focus on the GL/Auto team. The role handles inquiries from policyholders and claimants, verifies information, and assists in processing claims efficiently and accurately.

Preferred candidates have an Associate's degree, 1 year in insurance or customer service, and willingness to obtain state licensing.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1 year of experience in insurance, claims, or customer service is preferred.
• Ability to obtain appropriate state licensing as required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with claims management software preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships within department and with external customers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries from policyholders, claimants, injured workers, and other stakeholders regarding claim status and payments.
• Obtain and verify information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and vendors to support accurate processing.
• Assist with claim documentation by preparing and submitting required state filings and closing documents.
• Draft and distribute correspondence to policyholders, claimants, or agents per company standards.
• Maintain accurate claim records in the management system and ensure documentation is up to date.
• Coordinate external vendors (appraisers, attorneys, contractors) to support the claims process.
• Process payments and invoices per company policies and adjuster direction.
