Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Pre-Law, Risk Management, Insurance, or related field, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • No more than three years of professional experience.
  • Intellectually curious about insurance, risk management, and the role of claims in helping clients navigate life events.
  • Strong analytical, data management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear communication and relationship-building with clients, colleagues, and business partners.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities.
  • Enjoy working independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Willing to obtain any required adjuster licensing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of claims from first notification through final resolution.
  • Investigate, evaluate, and settle mortality, group life, accidental death, disability income, and waiver of premium claims.
  • Analyze policy terms, coverage provisions, and claim documentation to determine eligibility.
  • Conduct detailed claim investigations and document claim files.
  • Apply technical expertise and analysis to achieve fair claim resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate claim records and documentation.
  • Provide claims consultation and support coverage discussions with underwriters.
