Job summary

Alliant Insurance Services is seeking an experienced claims professional to service existing accounts and solicit new business. The role involves advocating for clients, managing medium to complex claims, and advising Producers on coverage and reserves.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree, 6+ years in brokerage or carrier environments, and professional credentials (CPCU/AIC/ARM) with an active Fire and Casualty Broker license. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six (6) or more years related work experience, brokerage or insurance carrier experience preferred
• Possession of CPCU, AIC and/or ARM preferred
• Valid Fire and Casualty Broker – Agent license
• In depth knowledge of all commonly encountered P&C insurance coverage and Risk Management concepts and techniques

Responsibilities

• Advocate for clients and provide claims support to Producers and carriers.
• Analyze and interpret coverage and reserves; negotiate settlements.
• Assist with complex, large claims and provide strategic guidance on coverage.
• Report to carriers on property, liability, litigated, high exposure and specialty claims.
• Maintain claim diaries and monitor denials and reservations of rights.
• Travel to loss sites and meet with clients and staff to discuss loss information.
• Provide coverage arguments and support client advocacy.
• Collaborate with legal counsel on coverage and settlement strategy.
• Support training and development materials for coverage reviews and loss reporting procedures.
