Job summary

Selective Insurance is seeking a Workers Compensation Supervisor for our Charlotte, NC office. The role is hybrid with 3 days in office and 2 remote, leading a team of Claim Technical Assistants, an FNOL Coordinator, and Medical-Only adjusters.

The position aims to drive loss and claims expense objectives, deliver excellent service, and foster strong agency relationships. 3-5 years of claims and supervisory experience are preferred, with a college degree recommended.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years claims experience.
• 3+ years supervisory experience of technical level staff.
• College degree preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coordinates and monitors activities of a claims unit to ensure quality and timely work.
• Schedules, prioritizes, and distributes workflow to meet deadlines.
• Audits procedures for compliance and provides data to management.
• Provides technical assistance to staff and assists with claim dispositions.
• Reviews adjustments and authorizes payments when required.
• Establishes and approves claim reserves.
• Oversees FNOL assignment process and timely queue review.
• Recognizes fraudulent activity and refers to SIU when appropriate.
• Implements claims audit recommendations and reviews complaints.
