Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Device Technician to support electrophysiology services. The role involves device interrogations, reprogramming, remote monitoring, and accurate documentation.

A high school diploma is required; one year of patient care experience is preferred.

The Device Technician works closely with the Electrophysiology physicians and advanced practice providers supporting device interrogations and post hospital follow up visits on patients with cardiac devices as well as ambulatory remote monitoring. This includes device evaluation, assisting with reprogramming, PaceMate system data entry, reporting, and charting documentation along with generating billing information. In addition, the technician monitors patients on remote monitoring and is responsible for accurate interpretation and documentation of cardiac rhythm and pacemaker rhythm strip as well as some clerical duties which include maintaining, entering and updating information and statistics in the EMR and PaceMate system. Supports nursing staff within the device clinic.
Monday through Friday; Variable work hours according to coverage needs.
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Prefer one year of patient care with strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms.
