Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a skilled CIWS Weapon Systems Technician to provide gun weapon systems support to the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard, focusing on Phalanx, SeaRAM, and LPWS variants. Duties include maintenance, testing, and readiness on ships and at sea.

The role requires at least 6 years hands-on CIWS experience, an active Secret clearance, and the ability to read drawings. This part-time on-call position supports regional maintenance centers and visit ships as needed.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and Active Secret clearance required.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience operating and maintaining CIWS variants (Phalanx, SeaRAM, LPWS).
• Knowledge of the mechanical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, and electrical CIWS subsystems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and structural drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform CIWS maintenance grooms and assessments aboard USN/USCG vessels.
• Assist testing of CIWS capabilities and integration with multiple combat systems pierside and at sea.
• Conduct CIWS System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT).
• Provide technical, mechanical, operational, and tactical training to USN/USCG personnel.
• Provide CIWS installation support for Counter Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS).
• Prepare technical reports and recommendations for Government stakeholders.
