Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a skilled CIWS Weapons Systems Technician to support U.S. Navy gun weapon systems including Phalanx, SeaRAM, and LPWS. This part-time role requires up to 50% travel (CONUS) and active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities include maintenance, testing, SOVT, and training for USN/USCG personnel, interfacing with RMCs and CSPEs, and installation support for C-UAS. A minimum of 6 years CIWS experience is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years hands-on experience operating and maintaining CIWS variants.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical schematics and drawings.
  • Capable of installation, removal, testing, and troubleshooting CIWS under supervision.
  • Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

CACI is seeking a skilled and experienced technician to provide gun weapon systems support to the U.S. Navy, specifically for the Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) variants, including Phalanx, SeaRAM, and LPWS. As an integral part of our highly experienced and capable team, you will be supporting a vital role of our customers to ensure Navy fleet gun weapon systems capability, supportability, and readiness.

This position will be Part-Time

The Opportunity:
  • Perform Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) maintenance grooms and assessments onboard US Navy (USN) and US Coast Guard (USCG) vessels.
  • Assist with the testing of system capabilities including integration with multiple combat systems both pierside and atsea.
  • Perform CIWS System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT).
  • Provide technical, mechanical, operational, and tactical training to USN and USCG personnel
  • Interface with Regional Maintenance Centers (RMCs), Combat System Port Engineers (CSPEs), and land-based test sites.
  • Provide installation support for Counter Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS).
  • Provide technical reports and recommendations to Government stakeholders.
  • Minimum 5 years of ISEA (in-service engineering activity), RMC (Regional Maintenance Center), or OEM (original equipment manufacturer) experience
  • OCONUS travel
Qualifications:

Required:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
  • Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience operating and maintaining any of the Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) variants (Phalanx, SeaRAM, and LPWS)
  • Knowledge of the mechanical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, electronic and electrical systems associated with any of the three CIWS variants.
  • Ability to perform installation, removal, light off and check out, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CIWS under the guidance of senior technicians.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and structural drawings and schematics.

Desired:

  • One or more NECs (Navy Enlisted Qualifications) related to CIWS Phalanx and/or SeaRAM would be a positive.
  • Knowledge of DOD requirements, standards, and processes.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft office products.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$90,800 - $199,700
