Job summary

Cappagh Browne Utilities Ltd is seeking a General Operative to join our Civils team in Fairlee and support delivery of drainage network works. You will assist with excavation, utility locating, and operate plant where authorized, while following safety procedures.

You'll work closely with the Team Leader and site colleagues, contributing to safe, efficient completion of projects, and developing skills across our utilities division.

Qualifications

• Groundworks, utilities or construction experience preferred.
• Positive, reliable and conscientious approach to work.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• NRSWA Street Works and CAT & Genny qualifications advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of civils and drainage projects by working with the Team Leader and wider site team.
• Assist with excavation works, utility locating and marking, and operating plant and equipment where authorised.
• Follow company procedures, wear PPE, and contribute to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Communicate progress or any issues to the Team Leader.
