Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources seeks a civilian Paramedic at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, NM. The role involves providing medical coverage for high-risk training, triage, and continuous care in dynamic, demanding environments.

Candidates should have an EMT-Paramedic license (National Registry) or state license, a valid CAAHEP-accredited program completion, and at least three years of recent Paramedic experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current National EMT-P Certification or state EMT-Paramedic license.
• Designated Dive Medical Technician & inside tender or equivalent/DoD courses.
• Familiar with medical data systems (MHS Genesis, ASIMS, AIMWTS, PEPP, HAIMS).
• Three years of Paramedic experience in last five years.
• CAAHEP-accredited Paramedic program completed within past two years.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and determine treatment per local protocol.
• Provide triage for students unable to perform in training due to medical conditions.
• Medical coverage and monitoring for high-risk training events including aquatic training.
• Respond, stabilize, and activate EMS for emergencies.
• Summarize injuries and care provided to EMS responders.
• Inventory, replace and clean medical supplies/equipment after use.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure proper care and health monitoring.
• Coordinate with medical director and supervisors for oversight and direction.
• Maintain records of injuries, treatment, rehabilitation, and releases.
• Work non-standard hours, extended shifts, and potentially up to 40 hours per week.
• Move and work in extreme conditions, lift up to 50–100 lbs, and travel if required.
• Attend observed performance/events at various locations to ensure mission success.
