Kapp Companies in Utah is seeking a Civil Utility and Earthwork Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for underground utility and civil construction projects. The role requires strong understanding of earthwork, grading, paving, and excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

You will review plans, perform quantity takeoffs, prepare cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment and subcontractors, analyze bids, maintain cost databases, and support project

Qualificações

• Minimum of 5 years in underground utility construction, earthwork, paving or related civil construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, blueprints and bid documents.
• Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Report directly to upper management daily.
• Review plans, drawings, specifications and bid documents to determine scope and estimating needs.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for underground utilities, earthwork, grading, paving and related civil construction.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor services and other expenses.
• Review and compare bids to ensure competitive and complete pricing.
• Maintain estimating cost database to keep labor and material costs current.
• Maintain organized records, bid documentation and project files.
• Support project management during award and startup with breakdowns and scope clarifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
