Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited university.
• Must have passed the FE exam upon hire.
• Proficiency with design platforms and software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• TDOT or Nashville DOT experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, calculations, and 3D modeling for highway and roadway design projects.
• Prepare detailed design plans, plan sheets, typical sections, and specifications using MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.
• Support the project team in developing project scopes, quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, sub-consultants, and senior staff to ensure milestones are met on time and within budget.
• Participate in field site visits, data collection, and traffic analysis as needed.
• Assist with proposal preparation and technical documentation for project pursuits.
• Perform other civil/transportation engineering duties as assigned.
