Job summary

Engineering Design & Testing Corp. (EDT) in Dallas seeks a Civil/Structural Engineer to investigate why buildings and components did not perform as expected and to propose repair recommendations.

You will conduct field investigations, weather-, fire-, and water-damaged structure assessments, soil movement, foundation issues, and defective design or construction analyses. You will prepare clear reports for clients and testify as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Active PE license required; experience in structural design or construction preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills expected.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations, interviews, and structural analysis.
• Assess damage, building-code compliance, and repair scope.
• Coordinate laboratory and field testing of materials.
• Manage multiple projects in varying phases of progress.
