Zusammenfassung

Renewyx LLC seeks a Civil/Structural Design Engineer to support solar PV and battery energy storage projects from proposals to energization. You will design grading, foundations, drainage and prepare calculations, drawing on geotechnical and environmental reports.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans, performing QA/QC, and visiting sites to verify construction aligns with the design. Onsite work in the Greater Los Angeles area with travel up to 30% will be required.

Renewyx has partnered with an established electrical and energy contractor to bring on a Civil/Structural Design Engineer, supporting a growing portfolio of solar PV and battery energy storage projects.

The position sits across the full project lifecycle, from preliminary site layouts for proposals through to detailed design, field verification and energization.

The Civil/Structural Design Engineer is responsible for facility-level design and analysis of solar and BESS sites. That covers grading, foundation design, structural details, material take-offs and equipment specifications, drawing on geotechnical, topographic and environmental reports. You’ll review plan sets and vendor drawings, run QA/QC checks, and visit site to confirm construction follows the design.

• Civil or structural design experience on solar PV, battery storage or related renewable projects
• Practical experience designing grading, foundations or drainage, including the supporting calculations
• A degree in civil or structural engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Exposure to utility-scale solar projects
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, L-pile and RISA (PLS-CADD is a bonus)
• Base salary of $85,000 to $115,000
• Onsite in the Greater Los Angeles area, with travel of up to 30%
