Job description

• A bachelor or master degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
• EIT or FE required or ability to obtain within 6 months from hire date
• 2+ years of experience in general civil infrastructure projects
• Experience with AutoCAD design software and understanding of basic Civil3D
• A valid driver’s license, automobile, and current automobile insurance is required given the nature and travel duties related to the position
• Salaried $60,000 – $75,000 based on experience

Job Description

The Civil Staff Engineer is responsible for the supervised analysis, design, and planning of municipal infrastructure such as collection systems, distribution systems, and treatment facilities in the built environment. Responsibilities include preparing construction documents, engineering reports, scientific documents, and performing data analysis on water resources engineering projects. The successful candidate will support project managers by preparing construction cost estimates, project implementation schedules, and related data analysis while working on diverse projects. The role offers growth into project management, leading projects, managing clients, and working independently.

Required Knowledge & Abilities

Ability to perform data analysis and present results to stakeholders. Knowledge of basic database, SQL, and Python skills is a plus. Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills are essential. Proficiency in MS Office. Creativity, initiative, good judgment, and clear communication are important. Flexibility, decision-making, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently are required. Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills, with the ability to meet tight schedules and occasionally work extra hours, are necessary.

Additional Notes

This position is not remote. The Civil Staff Engineer will be required to work in the office at least three days per week.
