Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design in Toledo, OH seeks a Civil Engineer to join the Civil/Site team. The role involves land development design, site feasibility, stormwater management, grading, and utility design using Civil 3D.

You will work with project managers and other disciplines to deliver projects within budget and schedule. The ideal candidate has 4–12+ years of civil/site experience, an EIT, and proficiency with Civil 3D, plus experience with MicroStation, HydroCAD, WaterCAD, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering is required.
• 4 to 12+ years of related land development (civil/site) experience is required.
• EIT certification is required; PE licensure is preferred.
• Demonstrated Civil 3D skills with site layouts from concept to completion.
• Experience with MicroStation, HydroCAD, WaterCAD, HEC-HMS/RA S, OpenRoads, and InRoads is a plus.
• Experience with business development, project management, or client-facing roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design land development projects using Civil 3D including site, grading, and utilities.
• Review municipal zoning and land development ordinances and agency regulations.
• Site investigation and due diligence including utility research and site visits.
• Prepare concept drawings and coordinate with AutoCAD draftsmen.
• Lead review and design of stormwater management and conveyance systems.
• Prepare pipe sizing calculations for stormwater conveyance systems.
• Evaluate surface runoff coefficients, invert, slope, velocity, and G.L. using Rational Method and Manning's Equation.
• Ensure compliance with stormwater management design regulations.
• Perform earthwork analysis for grading and ensure site safety.
• Design subdivisions and site plans; coordinate utility systems and conflicts.
• Prepare construction cost estimates for bonding and client purposes.
• Potential to lead junior staff and coordinate with Infrastructure department.
