Job summary

Creighton Manning, a GAI company, is seeking a Civil/Site Engineer 2 to support design development for commercial, institutional and residential projects in New York. The role includes site layout, roadway and utility design, drainage, and coordination with subconsultants.

Occasional field visits for investigations and construction-phase support are included. Qualified candidates hold a NY P.E., a Bachelor's in civil engineering (ABET accredited), and 5–10 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from ABET accredited institution.
• P.E. license in New York State required.
• 5–10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D preferred.
• Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Site design and layout of vehicular and pedestrian circulation, parking and loading.
• Roadway design including street and sidewalk plans and profiles.
• Utility design for water and sanitary sewer services.
• Drainage and stormwater design per NYSDEC requirements.
• Grading and erosion control planning.
• Coordinate with subconsultants for geotechnical, landscape and lighting.
• Construction administration and observation.
• Assist with SEQR and permitting processes.
• Present site plans to municipal boards.
