Job summary

Creighton Manning, a GAI company, seeks a Civil/Site Engineer 2 to support design development for commercial, institutional, and residential projects. Experience in layout, grading, water/wastewater, and stormwater is expected, with occasional field visits for investigations and construction phase support.

You will perform site design, roadway and utility planning, SEQR/compliance tasks, and coordinate with subconsultants, while supervising junior staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• P.E. license in New York State required.
• 5–10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficient with AutoCAD/Civil 3D software.

Responsibilities

• Site design and layout of vehicular and pedestrian circulation, parking and loading.
• Roadway design, including streets and sidewalks plans/profiles.
• Utility design for water and sanitary sewer services.
• Drainage and stormwater design per NYSDEC requirements.
• Grading and erosion control planning.
• Coordinate with subconsultants for geotechnical, landscape and lighting plans.
• Construction administration and observation services.
• Assist with SEQR and environmental compliance.
• Present site plans to municipal land-use boards.
• Lead entry-level engineers and technicians with task delegation.
