Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design in Rochester, NY seeks an Engineering Designer or Project Engineer to support a national retail program. You will work on store remodels, expansions, parking lot reconstructions, and site improvements, collaborating with managers, clients, architects, MEP engineers, and municipalities.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software is required, with 3–5 years of civil design experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• EIT required, PE preferred.
• Experience with retail site design or multi-site programs preferred.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, Storm Sewers and related software.

Responsibilities

• Support civil engineering design for retail site redevelopment projects.
• Prepare engineering designs, calculations, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare complete project documents and scopes of work.
• Lead and mentor junior staff and coordinate with teams.
• Work in AutoCAD Civil 3D to meet budgets and deadlines.
• Conduct field investigations and site visits as required.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams.
