Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Civil Site Intern to gain hands‑on experience in planning, design, and construction of civil projects in the Nashville area. You will work with experienced engineers and planners on site inspections, drafting, data analysis, and project design.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a civil engineering degree with familiarity in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and possess strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D (preferred but not required).
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Previous internship or field experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands‑on experience in planning, designing, and constructing civil engineering projects.
• Contribute to site inspections, technical drafting, data analysis, and project design.
• Support feasibility studies, zoning research, and due diligence reporting.
• Assist with designing stormwater management systems and site layouts.
• Prepare and update technical drawings with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Compile data, maintain project documentation, and contribute to project reports.
