Job summary

Stantec in Mt Laurel, NJ is seeking a Civil Site Designer to join our Community Development team. The role involves land development design, working with clients and authorities, and contributing to residential, commercial, and industrial site projects.

The candidate will perform site/civil design tasks, construction observation, and coordinate with design teams to deliver projects on time and with quality. FE/ABET credentials and 0–3 years' experience are valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited school.
0 to 3 years of relevant design experience preferred.
Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred/required within the first two years of employment.
Prior experience with a Land Development Engineering firm is preferred.

Responsibilities

Supports project team in development of design documentation, plans, and reports for relevant project design elements.
Site/civil plan preparation including grading design, water and sewer infrastructure design, roadway design
Design of storm water management systems, and erosion and sediment control plans.
Preparation of survey plans including topographic base plan preparation.
Working on design teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents or construction plans.
Ordinance/code and deed research, cost estimation, and permitting applications.
Ready to step in and assist with any of design team tasks in order to complete project on time and with quality design.
