Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Department Manager to lead our Civil/Site group across Tampa, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, or Maitland, Florida, driving high-impact projects and mentoring professionals.

This leadership role emphasizes strategy, client relations, and operational excellence, with responsibility for project oversight, staff development, and profitability. Collaboration with other groups and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 12+ years in related field.
• Professional licensure in area of expertise.
• Demonstrated effective leadership across large groups of employees.
• Strategic thinking and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and manages operations to ensure the quality of the technical products.
• Establishes effective long-range objectives, goals, and plans for assigned team.
• Provides technical and management leadership to the assigned team.
• Develops marketing program in conjunction with discipline goals.
• Advises and assists professionals in other groups when expert knowledge and expertise is required.
• Manages activities so an adequate profit is earned on all projects.
• Reviews monthly productivity and man-hour utilization-rates, reports and makes adjustments as needed.
• Assigns projects to staff and schedules work.
• Evaluate Employee Performance in accordance with company policy.
• Oversees assigned staff development and advancement.
