You will participate in enforcement efforts under federal civil rights laws as they pertain to education programs, with progressive responsibilities and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Active Bar admission in a U.S. state, DC, or Puerto Rico.
• Progressive legal experience at or above GS-09 level or equivalent.
• Knowledge of civil rights laws as they apply to education.

Responsibilities

• Assist with legal compliance or enforcement of laws affecting public education programs.
• Conduct legal research and draft documents or opinions.
• Communicate complex legal information through memoranda and oral briefings to staff.
