Bolton & Menk, Inc. seeks a Transportation Drainage Project Manager (PE) for our Raleigh or Charlotte, NC team to lead design efforts and mentor staff. You’ll advance projects in roadway, drainage and related designs for DOT, Counties, and Cities, while developing business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or transportation engineering from an accredited college/university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina.
• 8+ years of highway design experience.
• Experience with DOT design standards.
• Experience managing and mentoring staff.
• Experience with project management, proposals, and business development.
• Strong technical knowledge and teamwork.
• Valid driver's license.

• Utilize expertise on transportation project design and delivery including roadway, drainage, traffic, and preservation design for DOT, Counties, and Cities.

Job description

We are looking to add a Transportation Drainage Project Manager (PE) to our Raleigh or Charlotte, NC team who will help foster our mission that All People Should Live in Safe, Sustainable and Beautiful Communities! As a Transportation Drainage Project Manager, you will progress your career to the next level by leading design teams in addition to assisting with team development and business development responsibilities. With over 75 years of experience, Bolton & Menk specializes in providing community infrastructure solutions across the Midwest, Southeast, and beyond.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Cultivate client relationships in dynamic markets for transportation projects to position for growth of our business.
• Utilize your expertise and project management skills on transportation project design and delivery, including roadway, drainage, traffic, and preservation design for DOT, Counties, and Cities
• Lead junior staff and promote the growth of their technical skills.

What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or transportation engineering from an accredited college or university
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina
• 8+ years of highway design experience
• Proven understanding of DOT design standards
• Experience managing and mentoring staff
• Experience with project management, proposal development, and business development
• Strong working technical knowledge of engineering principles and practices is required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment is essential
• Strong active listening and team building skills
• Possess valid driver's license
