Job summary

Cardinal Civil Contracting in Denver, NC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead civil construction projects from planning through closeout.

You will develop schedules and budgets, coordinate with owners, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal teams, review contracts, plans, and specs, procure materials, and track progress for management and clients. Travel to job sites as needed and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of project management experience in civil construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cost reports, and forecasts.
  • Coordinate with owners, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Review contracts, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance.
  • Procure materials and subcontractor services as required.
  • Track project progress and prepare reports for management and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements and company policies.
  • Identify project risks, resolve issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage change orders, RFIs, and project documentation.
