Job summary

Civil Works Contracting in North Carolina seeks a Project Manager - Civil Construction to oversee civil construction projects from inception to completion. You will coordinate activities, manage resources, ensure safety and quality, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

The role requires leadership, strong knowledge of civil engineering, excellent communication, and proficiency with Primavera, HCSS, AutoCAD, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in civil construction.
• Demonstrated experience leading medium to large-scale construction projects.
• Valid construction safety certifications as required by local laws/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of civil construction projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, consultants, and construction teams on-site.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, and health & safety standards.
• Manage and resolve project risks, issues, and changes efficiently.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders, clients, and senior management regarding project status and updates.
• Prepare and present project reports, documentation, and status updates.
• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate procurement of materials and equipment and manage inventory.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications and contractual agreements.
