Job summary

TAIT seeks a Project Manager to lead a talented team in delivering client-driven land development projects in California. You’ll oversee design, planning, and client liaison with autonomy and support.

The role requires a CA P.E. license, a Civil Engineering degree, 5–7 years of leadership experience, and strong AutoCAD/Civil 3D skills. Enjoy a flexible schedule with remote/hybrid options and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
• Current CA P.E. license required.
• 5–7 years of experience in a responsible project/people management role.
• Strong design skills with AutoCAD and Civil 3D for land development (grading, drainage, streets, sewers, utilities).
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage client communications, and ensure project controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with marketing and client development for the Division.
• Identify design criteria and oversee efficient design and plan preparation.
• Solve design problems using engineering calculations and standards.
• Establish project controls and ensure plans' accuracy and quality.
• Ensure technical quality, profitability, schedule, and staff coordination.
• Spearhead plan processing at public agencies.
• Interface with clients, develop proposals, negotiate scopes/fees, ensure billing and collections.
• Manage project staff including design engineers and CAD operators, mentoring junior staff.
