Bolton & Menk is growing, and we have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Project Manager - Aviation to join our team, serving our aviation clients! In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the design and construction management of airport projects, including extension and reconstruction of runways, taxiways, and aprons; fuel systems; vertical infrastructure such as hangars and AD buildings; NAVAIDS; etc. Other duties include managing budgets and schedules for assigned airport projects and assisting with marketing to attract future clients. You will also serve as a client contact to airport boards and clients as assigned.

If you don't have experience in this field, don't worry! We are committed to providing training to help you get up to speed. While civil aviation experience is not mandatory, experience with municipal projects, especially those involving roadway and site inspections, is beneficial and can facilitate a smoother transition.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Leading and overseeing the work of engineers and technicians; planning and organizing airport project assignments.
• Serving as a client contact to airport boards/commissions and airport clients.
• Reviewing and preparing preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
• Developing, coordinating, and reviewing final designs, plans, and specifications.
• Providing technical advice on design, construction, modifications, and repairs to clients, contractors, and staff.
• Managing project planning, scheduling, and performance for multiple engineering projects and teams.
• Interpreting engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
• Performing technical writing and correspondence effectively.
• Engaging in business development activities, including client needs assessment, research, and proposal writing.
• Coordinating construction administration and monitoring documentation with field staff.
• Applying broad civil engineering knowledge to develop innovative solutions.
• Training and developing professional and technical staff.
• Building relationships with regulatory agencies.
• Traveling periodically to work sites and project locations.

What We Are Looking For:

• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Iowa.
• At least four (4) years of progressive civil engineering experience.
• Experience in plan development and construction contract administration.
• Proven ability to lead the design and preparation of construction documents.
• Experience delivering projects directly to clients.
