Job summary

Langan is seeking a Project Civil Engineer / Project Manager to join the Fort Lauderdale, FL team. The role involves planning, design, and permitting of civil, land development and infrastructure projects, plus coaching and mentoring staff.

Ideal candidates have a BE in Civil Engineering, a PE license, and 6+ years of site/civil development experience. You will work with a collaborative team across multiple market sectors, including healthcare, education, distribution, and commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required or actively pursuing licensure.
• 6+ years of related site/civil land development experience.
• Knowledge of local city, county and state land use regulations and processes.
• Strong client development, communication and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects; coordinate with clients.
• Design and oversee site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control through project completion.
• Develop new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients.
• Manage multiple projects within budget and schedule; monitor progress and deadlines.
• Prepare and review reports, feasibility studies, and technical specifications.
• Provide hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and SWPPP related work.
• Collaborate with leadership to grow the team and allocate staff.
