Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Project Engineering Manager, Civil to lead civil scope for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects from development to construction.

The role connects customers, engineering, project management, and field teams to ensure scope clarity and on-time delivery while translating requirements into executable field plans and coordinating with multiple sites. This position offers flexibility across DEPCOM locations.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting civil engineering, civil construction, project engineering, or field execution.
• Experience interpreting civil drawings, specs, scope documents, and quantity information.
• Experience coordinating work across engineering, estimating, construction, subcontractors, vendors, or stakeholders.
• Experience identifying, documenting, and escalating project risks, open items, or changes.
• Ability to travel up to 25% to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Own clear, complete civil scope across estimating, engineering, construction, environmental, safety, quality, and commercial functions.
• Translate site data, customer requirements, and permits into executable scope for pricing and field execution.
• Identify and communicate civil risks, scope gaps, and exclusions before impacting safety or schedule.
• Develop civil bid forms, estimate assumptions, and scope splits to support high-priority targets.
• Coordinate with engineers of record to review design inputs for constructability and scope alignment.
• Track quantities and cost drivers; resolve RFIs, submittals, and sequencing concerns.
• Lead civil handoffs and capture lessons learned for future scope work.
