Civil Project Engineer – Stormwater & Site Infrastructure

Compensation: $43.26 - $50.48 / hour

Position Overview

CME Associates is seeking a motivated and skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Tinton Falls, NJ. This position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with up to 5 years of experience. The successful candidate will work on a variety of civil engineering projects, including site development, transportation, and municipal infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects such as roadways, stormwater management systems, and site layouts.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates under the supervision of senior engineers.
  • Conduct site visits and field investigations to collect data and assess project conditions.
  • Perform technical calculations and analyses to support project designs.
  • Utilize engineering software for modeling and simulations to optimize project outcomes.
  • Identify and propose solutions to engineering challenges encountered during project execution.
  • Ensure project designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Assist in the preparation and submission of permit applications and related documentation.
  • Stay informed about relevant regulatory changes and industry standards.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams, including engineers, architects, and construction managers.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and project updates to stakeholders.
  • Assist senior engineers and project managers in coordinating project schedules and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project leaders.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project proposals and bids.
Qualifications
  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
    • Relevant coursework or internships in civil engineering projects is preferred.
  • Professional Experience: 3+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably with a focus on site development, transportation, or municipal infrastructure.
  • Licensure and Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other civil engineering design software.
  • Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulic modeling software is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of GIS applications and data management.
